Finding Hallie began with a vivid dream. I woke up remembering the characters, the choices they faced, and even the ending. It felt less like something I had created and more like a story I had been given.

I had spent my career in healthcare and biotechnology and had never written a screenplay. But I could not stop thinking about Hallie, so I sat down and began to write.

Her journey became deeply personal to me. I came to Christ in my forties after spending years believing I had missed my chance because I had not grown up in the church. I want Finding Hallie to remind people that it is never too late to come to Christ.

I also wanted to tell a love story in which the man does not rescue the woman. Hunter points Hallie toward faith, but when she reaches rock bottom, it is God who rescues her.

My hope is that Hallie’s story reaches anyone who has ever wondered whether the life they planned is truly the life God is calling them to live.
